Funeral services for Wilma Outen Truesdale, 96, will be held Saturday, November 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Abney Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Revs. Curtis Cameron, Robbie Shivar, and Homer Hinson will officiate. Mrs. Truesdale, widow of Jessie Clyburn Truesdale, died Thursday, November 1, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late James Redfern and Bleeka Talbert Outen. Mrs. Truesdale had retired from Hermitage Mills and was a member of Abney Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian woman and loved her church. Surviving are sons, Thomas Durand Truesdale of Romulus, Michigan, Elwood Donald Truesdale of Kershaw, Leon Wayne Truesdale of Cassatt, Adrian Clyburn Truesdale (Jane) of Inman, and David John Truesdale, Sr. (Wendy) of Bethune; daughter, Judy Truesdale Pate (Donald) of Bethune ; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren; a number of step- grandchildren; sister, Sadie Phillips of Kershaw; brother, Gilbert Outen of Myrtle Beach. She was predeceased by a daughter, Artis Ann Truesdale. The family will receive friends Friday, November 2, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Abney Baptist Church.
