Graveside services for Willie Mae Mangum Morgan, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 27, 2011 in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Charlie Simmons and Jamie Rogers will officiate.
Mrs. Morgan died Friday, February 25, in KershawHealth Camden. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Earl Clifton and Esther Broome Mangum. Her mother died when she was very young and she was raised by her aunt and uncle the late Timothy and Lucy Broome Roberts. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries after 35 years of service.
Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Harry Lee Morgan, a daughter; Dolores M. Derrick (Jeff) of Richmond Hill, GA., 2 sons; Dennis Morgan (Cynthia) of Columbia, Randy Morgan (Sandra) of Kershaw, 3 grandchildren; David Morgan of Charleston, Beth Williams (David), Richmond Hill, GA., Richard Morgan of Columbia and Eric Morgan of Utah, 3 great grandchildren; Kate, Owen and Edward, and a brother- in- law, Jeff Sims. She was preceded in death by 2 half sisters; Alma Blackmon and Dorothy Mangum Sims and a half brother; Earl Mangum.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church social hall.
