William Truesdale West

Funeral services for William Truesdale Billy West, 81, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 13, 2009, in Midway Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate.

Mr. West died Friday, July 10, 2009, at his home. Born in Winnsboro, S.C., he was the son of the late John Matthew and Juanita Truesdale West. He was retired from Daniel Construction Company. Mr. West was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a member of Macedonia Masonic Lodge # 239, Jefferson, S.C. where he had served as past master and was a shriner. Mr. West was also a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean conflict.

Surviving are two sons; Roger W. West, Terry R. West both of Kershaw, two daughters; Sheila W. Love of Kershaw and Lisa B. Smith of Lancaster, a brother; Freddie B. West of Darlington, a sister; Mrs. Jean Newman of Lugoff ,four grandchildren; Dr. Travis C. Love, MD of Charleston, West, VA., William West of Kershaw, Andy Small of Lancaster, Amber Small of Lancaster, two step grandchildren; Nicole and Kayla Smith of Kershaw, 1 great grandchild and 1 step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two wives; Ruby Robinson West and Mabel Robinson West and a sister Hilda Bridges.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, July 12, 2009, from 4 to 6 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
