William Martin 'Marty' Scott

Services for William Martin “Marty” Scott, 25, of Heath Springs will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Tim Steen and Doug Pate will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. William M. “Marty” Scott, died Sunday, October 20,2013, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Linda Sue Lowe Carter and Carl Timothy Scott. Marty was the quarterback for the Andrew Jackson Junior Varsity and Varsity football team. He was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School Class of 2006. He loved playing golf, shooting guns, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Linda Sue Lowe Carter (David) of Lancaster; father and step-mother, Carl Timothy Scott (Kathy) of Hudson, N.C.; daughter, Savannah Bunton; son, Logan Martin Scott; fiancé, Brittany Bunton; a brother, Brandon Scott and his fiancé Christina of Kershaw; a sister, Angel Beckham and her husband Chancey of Heath Springs; step- grandmother, Margie Carter; extended brothers and sisters, Charissa, Michael, Matthew and Stephen; great aunt, Viola Sims; step-grandfather, Charles Hipp; special nephew, Will Starnes and a number of nieces and nephews. The family is at the home of his mother, 1542 Winthrop Ave., Lancaster .
