William Leroy Humphries, Jr.

Funeral services for William Leroy W.L. Humphries, Jr. , 73 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 23, in Abney Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Rev. Dr. Todd Morris will officiate.

Mr. Humphries died Thursday, August 20, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late William Leroy Sr. and Virgie Thompson Humphries. He was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Abney Baptist Church . Mr. Humphries enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was married to Lucille Catoe Humphries of Kershaw.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 sons; Randy Lee Humphries (Sandy) of Lancaster, Larry Humphries (Rita) of Kershaw, 6 grandchildren; Jason Humphries, Corey Humphries, Patrick Humphries, Erin Humphries, Ashlyn Deese and Hannah Hunphries and 1 great grandson; Matthew Reese Humphries, 1 brother; Rev. James Douglas Humphries, and 4 sisters; Edna Humphries, Janice Langley, Shirley Dease and Shelby Jean Humphries.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 22 ,from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 3948 Roberts Road, Kershaw.
