A funeral service for William Lee “Mouse” Phillips, 75, of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mr. Phillips died Wednesday, August 24, at his home. Born in Camden, he was the only child of the late Samuel Coleman and Susie Sarah Williams Phillips. He retired from Springs Industries after 40 years of service. He was serving as a Supertindent for Quality-Control when he retired. Mr. Phillips enjoyed wood working, cutting wood and fishing. He also was an avid Clemson Tiger fan. He was most proud of his loving wife of 52 years, Rebecca Casey ”Becky” Phillips, who predeceased him in 2013, his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughter, Janet P. Bowers and her husband Danny; a son, Cliff Phillips and his wife Tonya all of Kershaw; a grandson, Brandon Lee Payne; a granddaughter, Savannah Brooke Phillips both of Kershaw; 2 great grandchildren, Joshua Lee Payne and Nickolas Kelly; 2 step-grandchildren, Travis and Amanda Lewis and 2 step great grandchildren, Aubree and Addison.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 882 Baxley Pond Rd., Kershaw.
