Funeral services for William Kent Watson, I, 73, of Camden, will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 22, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church, Westville with masonic rites. Rev. Steve Lee will officiate

Mr. Watson died Saturday, Oct. 17, at his home. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Jesse Brice, Sr. and Hallie Inez Cauthen Watson. He was retired from Dupont Co. Mr. Watson was of Baptist faith, a member of Abney Masonic Lodge # 211, a 1954 graduate of Baron DeKalb High School and a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of Riverbanks Zoological Society and loved the outdoors. He was married to the late Barbara Ann Peach Watson.

Surviving are four children; Jessica Dorman and her husband Bryan of Lugoff, Christiana Scott of Lugoff, William Kent W.K. Watson, II and his wife Maranda of Columbia, Samantha Strauss and her husband Garrett of Elgin, six grandchildren; Daniel Dorman and his wife Lauren, Friel Scottie Scott, III, Victoria Scott, Christopher Scott, William Kent Trey Watson, III, James Brice Zebulon Watson and two great grandchildren; Daniel Wade D.J Dorman, Jr. and Parker Kent Dorman. He was preceded in death by a infant daughter and three brothers; Jesse B. Watson, Jr., Duane C. Watson and Quay J. Watson.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, October 22, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. prior to the service at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw and other times at the home of his daughter, Samantha Strauss, 139 Falling Leaf Lane, Elgin, S.C.
