William James Twitty

A funeral service for William James Twitty, 85 of Kershaw will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, October 13, in the sanctuary of Buffalo Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray Lowe will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Twitty died Friday, October 9, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late William Thomas and Maggie Ervin Twitty. Mr. Twitty was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. He also loved to take pictures. Mr. Twitty was married to the late Estelle Vincent Twitty.

Surviving are 3 children, William Glenn Twitty and his wife Lily of Cassatt, Susan T. Snyder and her husband Jack of Camden and Randall M. Twitty and his wife Lisa of Camden; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, October 13, in the church Family Life Center.

Memorial contributions in may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, Building Fund, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 in memory of Mr. Twitty.
