William C. Estridge

Funeral services for William Christopher Estridge , 72, will be held on Friday, August 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor Street, Kershaw, with burial to follow in Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. James Way and Don Coppedge will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 27, from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah/Buffalo Rescue Squad, c/o Bobby Roberts, 4456 Haile Gold Mine Road, Kershaw, SC 29067, or to Buffalo Baptist Church Building Fund, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Mr. Estridge died Wednesday, August 26. Born May 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Ernest Christopher Estridge and Viola Morgan Estridge. Mr. Estridge had retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Mr. Estridge loved spending time with his children, his horses and boating.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet Phillips Estridge; sons, Barry Christopher Estridge and Joseph Brian Estridge and his wife, Sandra, all of Kershaw; daughters, Tammy Roberts and her husband, James Kenneth Roberts and Julie Phillips all of Kershaw; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis Edwin Estridge, Robert Estridge and Frank Estridge all of Kershaw; sisters, Virginia Lee Faile and Pauline Williams all of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Estridge and a brother, Paul Baxter Estridge.
