Funeral services for William Bryan Bill Holley, 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Holley died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Kershaw County Medical Center, Camden. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Bryan and Hattie Horton Holley. He was a general contractor and rancher. Mr. Holley enjoyed breeding Quarter horses and won numerous awards. His champion stallion was Sanjoe Playboy. Mr. Holley was a well respected contractor and built numerous churches in the area including Buffalo Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army.
Surviving are his wife; Margaret Faulkenberry Holley of the home, 1 step-daughter; Cathy Taylor and her husband Mitchum of Westville, 2 step-grandsons: Jason Taylor of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Dustin Taylor of Charlotte, North Carolina; 2 step-great grandchildren: Hannah Taylor and Sidney Taylor, and one sister Leatha Lucas of Ridgeway. Mr. Holley was preceded in death by his first wife Margie Roberts Holley.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 prior to the service starting at 12:30pm. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.
