Wesley Leverne Knight

A funeral service for Wesley Leverne Knight, 77 of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June, 20, 2016, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Knight died Friday, June 17, at Lancaster Convalescent Center, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late William Wesley and Selena Pittman Knight. He retired from A.O. Smith Co. and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. He was also a former member of the Lions Club in McBee.

Surviving are the mother of his children, Betsy Byrd Knight; a son, Roddy Knight and his wife Sharon; a daughter, Monica Pardue and her husband Jack and a daughter-in-law, Ann Knight all of Kershaw; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Knight and his wife Margie; 2 sisters, Jewel Dean Hinson and her husband Jerry and Carolyn Ingram and her husband Joe all of Kershaw; a special friend, Maxine McCaskill and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Joel Knight.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, June 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 9636 Flat Creek Rd., Kershaw.
