A memorial service to celebrate the life of Warren Bruce Davis, 70, of Lancaster will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Tuesday, May 28, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw. Rev. Jesse Adams and Doug Mayhew will officiate. Burial will be in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Davis passed away, Friday, May 24, at his home. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Walter Preston Davis Jr. and Helen Bowers Davis. He was a retired auto mechanic. Mr. Davis loved drag racing and football. He also served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served on the USS Saratoga.
Surviving are his daughter, Ann McManus of Lancaster; 2 grandchildren, Jason Hoke, Jr. and Elizabeth McManus both of Lancaster; a sister, Terri Davis of Murrells Inlet; a brother-in-law, Bobby Knight, Sr. of Lancaster and a nephew; Bobby Knight, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Lancaster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Knight.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
