Vickie Hindman Hilliard

A service to celebrate the life of Vickie Hindman Hilliard, 61, of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at Heath Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Miles will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Hilliard died Thursday, September 6, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Born in Shelby, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Joyce Chapin Hindman. She was a talented musician who sang, played the piano, guitar and flute. She had served as Minister of Music at Elgin Baptist Church and Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. She had also served as pianist for Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, William “Mike” Hilliard; her daughter, Allison Hilliard; her son; Matthew Hilliard all of Lancaster and her sister, Cheryl Lewis of Mt. Airy, N.C. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Heath Springs Baptist Church, P.O.
