Funeral services for Vera Lee Ellis Langley, 80, will be held Friday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Kershaw Church of God with burial to follow in Kershaw City Cemetery. Revs. Doug Martin and Larry Reeves will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, at Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Kershaw Church of God Building Fund, 140 Pineridge Drive, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
Mrs. Langley, widow of Edward Langley, died Tuesday at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Andrew Ander Jackson and Lelia Mae Phillips Ellis. Mrs. Ellis had retired from Springs Mills after 37 years of service and was a member of Kershaw Church of God. She loved flowers, canning, and collecting cookbooks.
Surviving are sons; Carl Langley (Kathy) of Heath Springs, Tommy Langley (Janice), Carroll Langley (Debbie), and Mitchell Langley all of Kershaw; grandchildren, Michelle Arioli, Carlene Henderson, Countney Sullivan, Kathy Dease, Meghan Langley, Amber Langley, Shaylynn Langley, Gage Langley, Billy Langley, Brian Langley, Amanda Langley, Desira Langley, Adrienna Langley, Shawn Langley, and Shane Langley; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Iva Mae Bowers, Ruth Williams, Bonnie Snipes, Diane Sims, and Vivian Cauthen all of Kershaw. She was predeceased by grandchildren, Everette Langley and Robin Langley; sisters, Margie Conyers and Lib Waites; brothers, L.J. Ellis and Gene Ellis.
