Valerie Humphrey Bowers

Graveside funeral services for Valerie Humphrey Bowers, 58 will be held Thursday, November 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Chadwick Ivester will officiate. Mrs. Bowers died Tuesday, November 16 in Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, Columbia. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Maxine Holland Humphrey. Mrs. Bowers was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Librarian, and Historian. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, and gardening.

Surviving are her husband, Woodrow Bowers; daughter, Kim McKinney (Jeff) of Kershaw; sons, Kevin Bowers (Sherry) of Kershaw, and Kenny Bowers ( Dawn) of Kershaw; grandchildren, Laykin Bowers, Rhett Bowers, Rylan Bowers, Rachel McKinney, Bridget McKinney, Natalie Bowers, and Kellen Bowers; sisters, Melody Johnston of Cassatt, Sonya Horton (Doug) of Cassatt and a brother, Brian Humphrey (Elaine) of Lugoff.
