Tony Holden

Anthony Dale Holden, age 61, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of Barbara Sue Catoe Holden and the late Malcolm James “M.J.” Holden. He was a former mechanic in the textile industry. Mr. Holden was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and a member of Abney Baptist Church. He loved to cut grass, play his banjo and woodworking. He was also a NASCAR fan.

Tony, as he was affectionately known, is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Delores Young Holden of the home; his son, Philip Holden; 3 sisters, Sherry Holden Branham and her husband, Sidney, Elaine Holden Herndon and her husband, Marshall, and Sally Holden Faulkenberry. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ashley Holden.

The family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the family home.
