A funeral service for Thomas J. “Lum” Criminger, 87 of Kershaw will be held in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Monday, September 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery with military honors. The Revs. Hugh McKinney and Don Knight will officiate. Mr. Criminger, widower of Betty Sue Payne Criminger died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Dewey and Bleeka Horton Criminger. He retired from Springs Industries after 44 years of service. Mr. Criminger was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and watching Western movies. Mr. Criminger also served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Surviving are his daughter, Cindy C. Addison of Kershaw; two sons, Jerry “Pete” Criminger and his wife Sharon of Lugoff, Rusty Criminger of Kershaw; three grandchildren, Angela Addison of Kershaw, Andrew Addison of Atlanta, GA, Tony Criminger of Rock Hill; four great grandchildren, Addison Anthony, Zachary Addison, Abigail Criminger and Abbott Criminger. He is also survived by a sister, Margaret Seegars of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Reggie Addison. The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 7, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 163 Blackmon Circle, Kershaw.
