Linda Sue Hunter Humphries, age 76, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away suddenly, Sunday, February 11, 2024. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Ernest Hunter and Ruth Roberts Hunter. Mrs. Humphries was a former purchasing clerk in the textile industry. She was a member of White Bluff Baptist Church where her husband is the pastor.
Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, Rev. James Douglas “Doug” Humphries; 2 brothers, Thomas (Gail) Hunter of Kershaw, S.C., and Rev. Carl (Rilda) Hunter of Franklin N.C.; her sister, Barbara H. (T.C.) Carnes of Lancaster, S.C.; 3 sisters-in-law, Shirley (Luke) Dease of Kershaw, S.C., Janice (Tommy) Langley of Kershaw, S.C. and Shelby Jean (Cliff) Pethel of Kannapolis, N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held to remember her life, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Baker Conference Center, Kershaw, S.C. The Revs. John Rogers and Carl Hunter will officiate the service. The burial will follow the service in the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday. February 14, 2024, one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Baker Conference Center.
