Sidney Henry Truesdale

Funeral services for Sidney Henry Truesdale, 76, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2010, in Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Truesdale died Thursday, September 16, at his home. Born in Westville, he was the son of the late Henry Robert and Jewel Kathleen T. Truesdale. He was a brick mason.

Surviving are his former wife; Mary Ann Coates Truesdale, 2 sons; Sidney Guy Truesdale, Robert Glenn Truesdale both of Kershaw, 2 daughters; Jewel Kitt Truesdale Wade and her husband William of Chester, Elizabeth Catherine Truesdale Laney and her husband Franklin Pop of Jefferson, 8 grandchildren; Sidney Allen Truesdale, Joseph Wayne Byrd, III, Sebastian James Norco, Michael Paul Griffin, Ashlyn Grace Laney, Olivia Elizabeth Laney, Faith Maddison Wade, Hope Kathleen Wade, 1 great granddaughter; Namine Byrd, 2 sisters; Alice T. Gardner of Camden and Diane T. Williams of Westville. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Randy (Bobo) Truesdale and Richard Lee Truesdale.

The family will receive friends, Friday, September 17, 2010, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4036 Mill Creek Road, Kershaw.
