Sherry G. Roberts

Sherry Garland Roberts, age 57, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday August 5, 2023, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Prosperity, S.C., she was a daughter of late William Franklin Garland and Cora Elizabeth Garland. She was a homemaker. She loved traveling to the mountains, visiting Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and the beach. Sherry enjoyed fishing and playing cards. She did not care for the mountains in Maggie Valley, because she said there was not anything to do there. She cherished the time she spent with her family and having get-togethers. Sherry had a heart of gold and always kept a smile on her face. She will be remembered no matter what. Her presence, love and kindness will forever be with us. Rest for now until we meet again. The world may have lost a beautiful soul, but heaven has gained an angel. May her laughter and love echo through the ages, and her memories warm our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Rickey David Roberts, Sr.; 2 daughters, Jenni Maiden and Annie Rose Roberts; 3 stepchildren, Thomas Roberts, Hope Roberts and Rickey David Roberts, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; her siblings, Ronnie Garland, Danny Garland, Bobby Joe Wicker, Melinda Wicker and Frankie Wicker. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leonard Garland, and Ray Wicker.

A memorial service to remember her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
