Sherriel Blackmon

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Sherriel Beckham Blackmon, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011, in Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Anita Bozardt will officiate.

Mrs. Blackmon loving wife for 39 years of Charles Dwight Blackmon died Friday, March 11, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Ethel Kennington Beckham. She attended Damascus United Methodist Church, Westville and was a cosmetologist.

Surviving are her husband of the home, 6 step-children; Deanna Delia of Irmo, Jeanne Estridge of Kershaw, Charla Goodman of Mt. Pleasant, N.C., Lynn Hankins of Elgin, S.C., Eddie Blackmon of Lugoff and Charles Blackmon Jr. of Kershaw, a number of grandchildren and her brother; Robert Beckham of Nichols, S.C.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, March 13, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 314 S. Cleveland Street, Kershaw.
