Sara Dollarhyde

Funeral services for Sara Self Dollarhyde, 69, of Bethune, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2019, in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Dollarhyde died, Sunday, December 30, at her home. Born in Chesterfield, she was a daughter of the late Dalton Washington Self and Sadie Warr Self. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for a number of years at Pageland Convalescent Center of Baptist faith. She also enjoyed spending time working in her yard.

Surviving are 3 children, Billy (Betty) Dollarhyde, Jr., Tina (Jackie) Austin and Paul Dollarhyde; 9 grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, Nolan, Joshua, Justin, Jamie, Oscar, Amanda and Chris; siblings, Tommy (Teresa) Self, Jimmy Self, Irene Joyner, Dorothy Sullivan, Flora Mae Williams, Kathy Taylor, Dora Gillespie, Joan Gabel, Joyce Self and Lou Etta Mosely Deese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Christy Dollarhyde and 2 brothers, George Self and Lennie Self.

The family will receive friends WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 o’clock p.m. in the church Family Life Center prior to the service.
