Memorial services for Sallie Sowell Hegler, 94, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Kershaw, SC. The Revs. Bryant D. Fersner and Bill Truesdale will officiate.
A graveside service will precede the service at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Those desiring, may view Mrs. Hegler at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday, January 16.
The family will receive friends immediately following the Memorial service in the church Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. Hegler, widow of Timothy Howard Hegler died Saturday, January 14, 2017, at KershawHealth, Camden, SC. Born in Kershaw, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Ervin and Cynthia Ogburn Sowell. She retired from Springs Industries and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening and going to yard sales.
Surviving are her son, Timothy H. Hegler, Jr. and his wife Nancy; her daughter, Sarah H. Ferguson and her husband Frank and a son-in-law, Paul S. Johnson, Sr. all of Kershaw; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie H. Johnson and 4 brothers, Robert Sowell, James Sowell, Frank Sowell and Eugene Sowell.

The family would like to thank Diane McManus and Joyce McDonald for the wonderful care and love shown to Mrs. Hegler as her caregivers.
