Sadie H. Barrett

Funeral service for Sadie Humphries Sarah Barrett, 75, will be held Sunday, March 6, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Jefferson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James Aldridge will officiate.

Mrs. Barrett, widow of Walter Buddy Barrett died Friday, March 4, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Richard and Daisy Humphries and had retired from Springs Industries. She loved her church, fishing, bowling and gardening.

Surviving are her children; Peggy Craig (David), Alvin Barrett (Sheryl), Brenda Goatley (Carl) all of Jefferson, Ricky Barrett and Teddy Knight of the home, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren and a sister; Ann Humphries of Jefferson.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 5, from 6 to 8 p.m, at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 5944 Mt. Pisgah Road, Jefferson, S.C.
