Ruby P. Phillips

Ruby Faye Presnell Phillips, age 93, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Sunday morning, October 8, 2023, in Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Poplar, N.C. she was a daughter of the late Martin Amos Presnell and Cora Miller Presnell. She enjoyed attending Kershaw Senior Citizens Group every Wednesday.  She also was a former employee of Bendix Corporation and of Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Roger Duane Phillips of Heath Springs, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Phillips and 9 siblings, Violet Edwards, Ida Elizabeth “Betty” Barnett, Lydia Edwards, Yvonne Pusz, Bertha Peterson, Edd Gay Presnell, Frank Clinton Presnell, Edward Howard Presnell and Hyder Presnell.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 2023, in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Rev. Todd Montgomery will officiate.
