Ruby Jacobs Tolbert, 84, of Kershaw, passed away, Saturday morning, September 12, 2020, at her home. She was born in Hamlet, N.C., on November 15, 1935. She retired from Skyline, Ltd. and was a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. Mrs. Tolbert was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking. She was a past area representative for the Little Miss South Carolina Pageant and had served on the Board of Directors. Most importantly she cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Darlene T. Beckham and her husband, Ray; 3 granddaughters, Amy L. Marcus and her husband, Matthew, Amanda N. Bailey and her husband, Adam and Lauren B. Killingsworth and her husband, Michael; 2 great grandchildren, Riker J. Marcus and Aurora R. Killingsworth and a brother, Jesse Holder and his wife, Kathy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Frank Tolbert on August 4, 2000.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, September 15, in Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss and Jeremy Ussery will officiate. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
Anyone can come by Baker Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 15,2020, to sign the register book and pay their respects.
