Funeral services for Ruby Horton Hinson, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Revs. Jamie Rogers, Don Knight and Kelvin Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinson widow of John Jackson Jack Hinson died Monday evening , November 22, in White Oak Manor, Lancaster. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Willie J. and Nep Dabney Horton. She was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Carolyn H. Phillips and Betty H. Payne and her husband Reggie all of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren; Mitchell Payne (Dee Dee), Vickie Blackie (Wallace), John Phillips (Karen), Scotty Phillips (Kelly), 6 great grandchildren; Pierson Payne, Caitlin Blackie, Caroline Phillips, Kelsie Phillips, Megan Phillips and Gavin Phillips, her brother; G.W. Horton of Seattle, WA, 3 half sisters; Dorothy Ann Owens of Kershaw, Jo Lynn Adams and Barbara Simcox both of Lancaster . She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Clifford Horton and Nick Horton.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, 106 Blackmon Circle, Kershaw.
