Ruby Doris Gardner

Funeral services for Ruby Doris Baker Gardner, 88, of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Buffalo Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. James Way and Sam Kennington will officiate. Mrs. Gardner, widow of Ray. T. Gardner died Saturday, August 11, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Hunter Baker. She retired from the textile industry and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She also enjoyed reading and cooking. Surviving are 3 daughters, Brenda Holden (Frankie), Karen Jones and Anita Rollins (Conard) all of Kershaw; 4 grandchildren, Linda Haigler (Jeff), Anna Rollins, Christopher Jones (Jamie) and Matthew Rollins; 6 great grandchildren, Beth Patterson (Joshua), Amy Mosher, Rose Kinlaw, Bronson Montgomery, Keely Montgomery and Layla Jordan and 4 great great grandchildren, Leanna Patterson, Gracie Patterson, Kacie Patterson, Josh Patterson, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Gardner; a granddaughter, Donna Holden Vincent and numerous brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends, Monday, August 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of Christopher Jones, 1424 Scott Road, Kershaw.
