A service of remembrance for Ronald Reagan “Ronnie” Portman, 39 of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, at Baker Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date in Shiloh Cemetery. Rev. Larry Reeves will officiate.
Mr. Portman passed away, Saturday, October 5, at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia. Born in Hartsville, he was a son of Diane Baker Portman and the late John Ray Portman. He was a machinist and served in the US Army in Iraq. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Surviving in addition to his mother are 3 children, Veronica Marie Portman, Isaiah Portman and Reanna Marie Portman; 2 brothers, Sam (Amy) Portman and Eddie (Paola) Portman and his best friend, Kevin Outen. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Heidi Portman.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his brother, Sam Portman.
