Services for Ronald William Gaskill, Jr., 36, of 608 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2008 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Jamie Rogers will officiate.
Mr. Gaskill died Thursday, October 30, 2008, from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Somers Point, NJ, he grew up in Egg Harbor Township. He was a 1990 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School and Atlantic County Vocational Technical School. He was a member of the Bargintown Volunteer Fire department from May 20, 1991 to November 23, 1992. Mr. Gaskill married in 1996. He was employed in NJ with J.C. Penny Lost Prevention Department. He moved to Kershaw, S.C. in 1998. His most recent employment was with US Express as a tractor trailer driver. He was a graduate of Schneider Trucking School. Mr. Gaskill had also worked for K & B Equipment, Blast Right, Randolph Transportation, CLS and J & J Farms of Pageland. He was a loving husband, father,son and grandson. Mr. Gaskill was an avid lover of animals, gardening, especially landscaping, woodworking and enjoyed working on cars, trucks and Harley's. He reaffirmed his relationship with God. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and decorating for the holidays, Halloween and Christmas being his favorites.
Surviving are his wife Annantonia Shinn-Gaskill, employed with Springs Memorial Hospital, two daughters; Ashleigh Yvonne Gaskill, Rachael Irene Gaskill and one son; Justin Malcolm Gaskill all of the home. His father, Ronald William Gaskill, Sr. of Mays Landing, NJ and his mother, Jeanette Price Carbone of Live Oaks, CA, step-father; Cosimo D. Carbone of Live Oaks, CA, his father and mother in law; Edwin Arthur and Geraldine Laura Nesbitt-Shinn of Lancaster and formerly of Northfield, NJ and Egg Harbor Township, NJ, sister-in-law; Julie Marie Shinn of Lancaster, step-brother; Joseph Carbone of Balvell, SC, step-sister; Jennifer Carbone of Egg Harbor Township, NJ . He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Franklin and Helen Price and his paternal grandparents William L. and Yvonne V. Gaskill.
The family will gather from 5 to 6 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2008 at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw followed by a service to celebrate his life at 6:00P.M.
