A graveside inurnment service for Roger William Hilton, 52 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. Mr. Hilton died Sunday June 7, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Bonnie Faulkenberry Hilton and the late John Franklin “Frank” Hilton, Sr. He was a former helicopter mechanic at McEntire Joint National Guard Base. He loved playing golf and fishing. Roger was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School where he played Football.
He served his country in the United States Navy serving on the USS Forrestal and was in the SC Army National Guard reserves.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Kershaw are two children, Ryan Andrew Hilton and Elyssa Michelle Hilton; his fiancé, Rhonda Catoe Bowers of Kershaw; four siblings, Frankie Hilton and his wife Dee of Camden, Ann Wilson of Kershaw, Tracy Hilton and his wife Barbie of Kershaw and Deena Hilton of Florence.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his mother, 307 West Welsh Street, Kershaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Roger may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka Kansas 66675.
