A memorial service for Roger Leon Phillips, 70 of Heath Springs, SC, was held, Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Baker Funeral Home. Burial was private. Mrs. Brenda C. Burns was the celebrant. Mr. Phillips died Monday, March 16, 2015, at his home. Born in Lancaster, SC, he was a son of Mary Maggielene Crenshaw Phillips and the late Clyde Russell Phillips, Sr. Mr. Phillips was a livestock dealer and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother of Heath Springs, SC, are his wife, Mary Susanne Shedd Phillips of the home; a son, Brian M. Phillips; a daughter, Virginia Patterson; three grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Phillips, Jr., and two sisters, Mary Emma P. Knight and Elsie P. Lucas. Memorials may be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the charity of one’s choice. Baker Funeral Home is serving the Phillips family.
