A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert “Wade” Threatt, III, 47, of Kissimmee, FL, and formerly of Fort Lawn, SC, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, SC, Rev. Edgar McCall will officiate.
A private committal service will precede the service in the Church columbarium.
Mr. Threatt passed away Friday, November 11, in Kissimmee, FL. Born in Chester, SC, he was the son of Robert Wade Threatt, Jr. and Diana A. Threatt. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and had a passion for go-kart racing, which he excelled. He won numerous local, state and national titles.
Mr. Threatt is survived by his son, Joshua Wade Threatt of Lancaster; his father, Robert Wade Threatt, Jr. and his wife Vera of Winnsboro, SC; his mother, Diana A. Threatt of Lancaster, SC; his sister, Jennifer T. Snellgrove of Fort Mill, SC; his paternal grandmother, Nell Threatt of Rock Hill, SC ; 2 nieces, Lauren and Cameron Snellgrove and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Threatt is also survived by Joyce Robinson and family who loved him dearly in Florida. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Wade Threatt, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, William G. and Grace C. Anderson.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Church narthex.
