Robert Lewis Hinson

Robert Lewis “Rock” Hinson age 71, of Cassatt, S.C. died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of the late Robert and Kathleen Hearon Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Camden, S.C. He loved to hunt, work in his garden, spend time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed reading his Bible.

Surviving is his daughter, Amanda H. Roberts (Stuart) of Cassatt, S.C.; his son, Robert “Robb” Hinson of Cassatt, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Wesley Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Lily Rose Roberts and Brady Roberts; his brother Travis Hinson of Elgin, sisters-in-law, Linda Outlaw and Becky Outlaw; brothers-in-law, Kim Outlaw and Tommy Hunter; special canine companion, Otis and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kay Outlaw Hinson; a brother, Larry Hinson; sisters-in-law, Shelby Bowen and Mary Hunter and brother-in-law, Eddie Outlaw.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw S.C. with Rev. Donnie Dixon officiating.

The family will greet friends and family following the graveside service in the cemetery.

A special thank you is extended to Amedisys Hospice and its nurse Suzanne for the love and care shown to Mr. Hinson and his family.
