Robert G. Hinson

Funeral services for Robert Gary Hinson, 67, will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Baker Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Shoals Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Richburg, S.C. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Hwy., Jefferson, S.C. 29718. Mr. Hinson died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John Harry Hinson and Alene Hall Hinson Culp. Mr. Hinson was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish, hunt, and play golf. Surviving are his children, Rob Hinson, John Hinson, April McEntire, Mike Hinson, and Lori Snipes all of Lancaster, and Kelli Hinson of Chester; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Mickey Hinson of Kershaw; and special nephew, Robert T. Hinson of Bethune. Mr. Hinson was predeceased by his wife, Debra Baker Hinson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 16, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
