Robert Franklin 'Frank' Williams

Funeral services for Robert Franklin Frank Williams, 63, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2009, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Mr. Williams died Tuesday evening, January 20, 2009, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Sandy A. and Chloe Herring Williams. He retired from Dupont Co. after 34 years of service. He was a member of Abney Masonic # 211 , Jamil Shrine Temple and served on the Lancaster County Recreation Commission for 5 years. Mr. Williams coached Little League Football for 15 years, Pony League Baseball for 5 years and kept the stats for A.J. High School Athletics for 16 years. Mr. Williams served on the Kershaw Town Council and served his country in the US Army. He was a graduate of Flat Creek High School and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; Glenda Carol McNaughton Williams of the home, a daughter; Heather W. Duncan and her husband Rusty of Lancaster, a son; Greg Williams of Kershaw, three grandchildren; Bryce Duncan, Blake Duncan and Meredith Duncan all of Lancaster, four brothers; Edward T. Williams and his wife Mary Evelyn of West Columbia, Harold Williams of Kershaw, Grady Williams and his wife Pauline of Lugoff, Hubert Williams of Ridgeway, four sisters; Audrey Criminger of Kershaw, Shirley McKinney of West Columbia, Peggy Small and her husband George of Kershaw, and Polly Melton and her husband Douglas of Cayce.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, January 22, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 503 West Welsh Street.
