Graveside services for Rickey “Peanut” Faulkenberry, 58 will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Thurmond Johnson will officiate. Mr. Faulkenberry died Friday, January 20, at his home. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of Sybil Baskins Faulkenberry and the late Alston “Fat” Faulkenberry. He was retired from Continental Tire and the Town of Kershaw. Rickey enjoyed the many years he coached baseball and football and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church and his grandchildren were his life. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife; Carol Ann Horton Faulkenberry, a daughter; Hope Rollings and her husband Scott, 3 grandchildren; Tripp, Kip and Trey Rollings. He was preceded in death by a daughter; Heather Faulkenberry, a son; Tripp Faulkenberry and a brother; Thomas Faulkenberry. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 412 North White Street, Suite A, Lancaster, S.C. or Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3795 Pleasant Plains Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067. Baker Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Faulkenberry.
