Funeral services for Richard Carl Rick Robertson ,61 will be held at 11:00 A.M. THURSDAY, MAY 22, 2008, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Chad Ivester will officiate. Mr. Robertson will be cremated following the service.

Mr. Robertson died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at his home. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late William Carl and Evelyn Shirley Robertson. He worked as a long distance truck driver. Mr. Robertson enjoyed fishing. He also operated his roadside stand selling boiled peanuts and tomatoes.

Surviving in addition to his wife Catherine Cathy Bixler Robertson of the home, his children: Steve Brasington and his wife Sherry of Lancaster, Melissa Eargle of Lancaster, Alvin McConkey and his wife Beth of Rapid City, South Dakota, Sherrie Faulkenberry of Kershaw; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson. Mr. Robertson is also survived by his sisters: Nancy Adams of Fort Lawn, Faye Roof and her husband Ricky of Lancaster and his brothers: Preston Robertson and his wife Ann of Lancaster, Raymond Robertson and his wife Brenda of Lancaster, Lewis Robertson and his wife Diane of Lancaster, Tommy Robertson and his wife Dee of Barstow, California. He is predeceased by his daughter Regina Davis and 2 brothers Coleman Robertson and Jack Robertson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Baker Funeral Home.
