Rebecca Coates Farmer

A funeral service for Rebecca Coates ”Becky” Farmer, 76 of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, January 31, in the sanctuary of Shamrock Baptist Church, Bethune. The Revs. Luke Morrison and Odell Sullivan will officiate. Burial follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Mrs. Farmer, loving wife of the late Jack E. Farmer died Thursday, January 28, in A. Sam Karesh Long-term Care, Camden. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Annie Marsh Coates. She retired from U.S. Textile and was a member of Shamrock Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church family and was active with the children’s ministry at the church.

Surviving are 2 sisters, Jackie Coates of Kershaw and B. Pauline “Polly” Coates of Camden, a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 30, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
