Funeral service for Reba Louise Taylor Tatum, 95, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 24, 2009, in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.
Born November 11, 1913, in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Thurlow and Fannie Williams Taylor. Mrs. Tatum passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Britthaven of Kernersville. She was a graduate of Limestone College and a retired school teacher with the Lancaster County School System. She was a a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters; Reba Morris and her husband Joe of Kernersville, NC and Sarah Braithwaite of Charleston, four grandchildren; Capt. Jess Braithwaite of the US Air Force, Dr. Carolyn Jordan of Augusta, GA, James Barbery of Matthews, NC and Christina Barbery of Kernersville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; Jess B. Tatum and a brother; Arnold B. Taylor of Hyattsville, MD.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the church.
