Randy "Sheep Dog" Faulkenberry

Randy “Sheep Dog” Faulkenberry, age 72, of Heath Springs, passed away, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was the son of the late Rudolph Faulkenberry and Mary Neal Sims Faulkenberry. Mr. Faulkenberry was formerly employed with Springs Industries for 32 years and a carpenter. He also loved rabbit hunting and fishing. He was a 1970 graduate of Andrew Jackson high School and was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Pat Phillips Faulkenberry; 6 children, Brian Faulkenberry, Brad (Mandy) Faulkenberry, Chuck (Alisha) Faulkenberry, Eddie Hayes, Chris (Gale) Hayes and Angie (Ray) Hegler; 19 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jan (Sonny) Catoe and Beth (Clay) Jenkins; his brother, Billy “Hay Stack” (Carla) Faulkenberry and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The burial will be in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mitchell Ingram and Mr. Hal Haynes will officiate at the service.
