Peggy Young

Funeral services for Peggy Boykin Young, 54 of Kershaw will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Millcreek Rd. Rev. Larry Reeves will officiate. Mrs. Young died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nettie Baker Boykin. She retired from Lancaster County School District and attended Pleasant Hill Church of God. Mrs. Young was a loving wife, faithful mother and a good friend to everyone she met. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Jack David Young; her son, Harry Edward Young of Kershaw and her special canine friend, Blackie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Ann Young. The family will receive friends Monday, March 17, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 712 Winterwood Rd., Kershaw.
