Peggy Joyce Peach Parker, age 82, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her home. Born in Camden, S.C., she was a daughter of the late George Benjamin Peach and Cora Cornelia Owens Peach. Mrs. Parker was a graduate of Baron DeKalb High School. She was the frozen foods manager for Small’s Food Center. She enjoyed shopping and traveling to the beach. She was especially fond of the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandsons.
She is survived by her daughter, Christy Orvin and her husband, Jack of Kershaw, S.C.; 2 granddaughters, Jenna Hightower and her husband, Austin of Kershaw, S.C. and Emma Orvin and her friend, Lawson Maxey of Kershaw, S.C.; 2 great grandsons, Preston and Parker; her sister, Patsy Greer and her husband, Bob of Kershaw, S.C.; 2 brothers, Gerald Peach and his wife, Annie of Lancaster, S.C. and David Peach and his wife, Loi of Maricopa, AZ and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Joe Parker and 5 sisters, Annie Holden, Bessie Faulkenberry, Lucy Witman, Martha Knight and Rachel Wright and 2 brothers, Joe Peach and Robert Peach.
The family will greet friends, Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C. Dr. T. Jason Moss will officiate. A private family burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Parker may be made to Kershaw Second Baptist Church, 7737 Kershaw Camden Highway, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
