Peggy Doris Hegler

Peggy Doris Jenkins Hegler, age 87, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away, Sunday evening, September 8, 2024, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C. she was a daughter of the late William Stoy Jenkins and Flossie Lee McManus Jenkins. She was a graduate of Buford High School and retired from Springs Industries. She had also been a waitress and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Hegler loved to listen to bluegrass music, go dancing and crocheting. 

She is survived by her son, William Ray Hegler and his wife, Angie of Lancaster, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Nikki Rae (Richard) Scott, Joseph Ray Hegler, Keely Angel Hegler and Dakota Blaze Hegler; 7 great grandchildren, Jensen, Elijah, Ariana, Ariel, Dawson, Dallas and Colson and her sister, Polly Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Hegler and a grandson, Dustin Ray Hegler. 

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, September 12, 2024, in BAKER CONFERENCE CENTER, 105 North Minor Street, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Tommy Ross will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Conference Center until 5:30 P.M.
