Peggy Marshall Blackmon

Peggy Marshall Blackmon, age 94 of Columbia, S.C. passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at her home. Born in Heath Springs, S.C., she was a daughter of the late William Reece Marshall and Clara Rutledge Marshall. Mrs. Blackmon was a former dental assistant.

She is survived by 3 children, James (Beth) Blackmon of San Diego, CA, Sheila B. (Ed) Lilly of Columbia, S.C. and Duane (Richard) Blackmon of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and sisters, Betty M. (Larry) Cauthen of Lancaster, S.C., and Mollie Moree of Rock Hill, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray “Mutt” Blackmon and several brothers and sisters.

The family request that memorials be made to Harvest Hope Food Bank, Oliver Gospel Mission of Columbia, S.C. or New Kirk Presbyterian Church, Blythewood, S.C.
