Funeral services for Pauline Polly Faulkenberry Blackmon will be held Thursday, April 14, at 4:00 p.m. at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Thurmond Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, 3777 Pleasant Plains Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
Mrs. Blackmon died Tuesday, April 12 at White Oak Manor Lancaster. Born in the Flat Creek Township of Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Hartford and Gladys Connell Faulkenberry. Mrs. Blackmon had retired from Belk Department Store and was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Taskel Phillips and her second husband, Wilford Blackmon.
Surviving are her stepchildren, Carolyn Blackmon Adams (Jerry), Linda Blackmon Moser (Buck), Al Blackmon (Joyce) all of Lancaster, Judy Blackmon Hinson (Donald) of Kershaw; sister; Margie Wilson of Kershaw and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Louise Hinson, Annette Dabney, and Betty Sowell; and a brother, Bruce Faulkenberry.
