Pauline Bryson Joyner

A funeral service for Pauline Bryson Joyner, 90, of Bethune, SC, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, in the sanctuary of Timrod Baptist Church, Bethune, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Jeremy Ussery, Harold Adams, Jackie Knight and Thomas Sullivan will officiate.

Mrs. Joyner, loving wife of the late James Joyner, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at KershawHealth, Camden, SC. Born in Bethune, SC, she was a daughter of the late John and Alma Thompson Bryson. She was a homemaker and a member of Timrod Baptist Church. Mrs. Joyner loved spending time with her family and loved her church.

Surviving are 2 sons, James Wayne (Edith) Joyner of Kershaw, SC, Curtis C. (Cindy) Joyner of Bethune, SC; 3 daughters, Paulette (Ben) Roberts of Bethune, SC, Patricia (Kenneth) Young of Bethune, SC and Myrtle (Rev. Thomas) Sullivan of Kershaw, SC; 15 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandson; a brother, Jimmy L. Byrson and a sister, Novia Thomas. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John C. Byrson, Thomas L. Bryson and 2 sisters, Goldie Jones and Juanita Chandler.

The family is at their respected residences and will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall.
