Paula A. Whitaker

Funeral services for Paula A. Whitaker, 50, of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Bryant D. Fersner and Todd Montgomery will officiate. Mrs. Whitaker died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Paul Thomas Roberts and the late Patricia Faile Williams. She was a former claims manager for a insurance company. Mrs. Whitaker was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her father are her husband; Richard “Rick” Whitaker, a son; Chris Whitaker and his wife Jill Harkins Whitaker, a daughter; Courtney Whitaker, a sister; Becky Faulkenberry and her husband Kenny , all of Kershaw , 4 grandchildren; Gavin Harkins, Camden Harkins, Brianna Faile and Shelby Whitaker and a brother Jeff Roberts of North Carolina. The family will receive friends, 1 hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 67, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
