A funeral service for Paul Wayne Taylor 74, of Bethune, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, at Abney Baptist Church, Kershaw. The Revs.Todd Gandy and Scott Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Taylor died Thursday, June 16, at his home. Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Jesse Lee and Emma Mae Outen Taylor. He retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Abney Baptist Church. He also loved to fish, play golf, sing and haul any kind of junk metal. He also had participated in a men’s quartet at Abney Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Anna “Kathy” Self Taylor of the home; 4 children, Phillip Wayne Taylor and his wife Jennifer of Bethune, Kimberly T. Faile of McBee, Toni K. Brigman of Bethune and Joseph Paul Taylor and his wife Kathy of Bethune; 5 grandchildren, Jessie, Hannah, Jake, Dalton and Dylan and a special niece, Janice Hanna of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Thomas Taylor and a sister, Margie Taylor.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 20, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 30 Bywood Drive, Bethune.
