The family will hold a memorial revival service for Paul Ed Dolton Dollarhyde, 43 of Bethune, Monday, July 29, at 3:00 o’clock p.m. in the sanctuary of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Inurnment in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery will be private.
Mr. Dollarhyde, widower of Christina Valdez Dollarhyde passed away, Sunday, July 21 in Bethune. Born in Hickory, N.C., he was a son of Billy Joe (Esther) Dollarhyde, Sr. and the late Sara Self Dollarhyde. Paul was an artist who enjoyed painting, drawing and bluegrass music. He was an excellent tattoo artist as well. Paul was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and enjoyed reading his bible.
Surviving in addition to his father of Marion, N.C. are his son, Nolan Killian of Kershaw; a step-daughter, Angel Valdez of Newton, N.C.; 2 step-grandchildren; a brother, Billy Dollarhyde, Jr. of Bethune; a sister, Tina Austin of Kershaw; 3 half brothers, John Sweazy (Elizabeth) of Hickory, N.C., William Queen of Bethune and Gene Harper of Lenoir, N.C. and paternal grandfather, Russell Whitworth of Cherryville, N.C.
The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at 4 Bywood Drive, Bethune.
Memorials may be sent to Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton St., Kershaw, S.C. 29067 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
